| "I’m going to eat you," said the Cat
to the Mouse.
"I’m tired of you making a mess of my house. "You nibble bits here and you nibble bits there. "How can I lie and relax in my chair?
"With you running around and continually squeaking. "How’s a cat supposed to do any sleeping?" "Don’t do it," said Mouse. "As I know you’ll agree. "You’d be so lonely if you murdered me.
"Who is when you’re feeling low, "Charms and amuses you and makes you laugh so? "I’ll admit I’m a nuisance when you’re trying to rest, "But think how you’d miss me when you’re feeling your best."
"I know," said Cat. "What you say is true. "My life wouldn’t be much fun without you. "But couldn’t you for once, go sleep on the floor? "It would be embarrassing for me if anyone saw.
"A cat with a reputation such as I have in this house. "Shouldn’t be seen asleep cuddled up to a mouse!"
