Elephant at Winter Waterhole
Winter rains have failed to arrive and surface water is disappearing
fast. An overnight shower has left pools of water around this, almost
dry, waterhole. Soon the morning heat absorb most of it. This painting
depicts the elephants hurry to quench their thirsts before the sun
steals the little water. The soft colours of the painting reflect the
gentleness of an early morning African sky.
